Student Registration Instructions for PrepHQ

 

New Counseling Website!

The Elms' guidance office has a new website to help students and families access information on the college preparation process. This website can be accessed by parents, students, and faculty from Our Lady of the Elms.  Follow these simple instructions and get started today!

 

To get to Our Lady of the Elms High School’s PrepHQ link:

Open up an internet browser and go to http:www.prephq.com?id=ourladyoftheelm

This link is located on the Guidance page on our high school library's website. Go to our Elms HS Library web page at http:www.elms.k12.oh.us/library/  and choose “Guidance.”

You can click on a link to download a printable copy of this registration form to use to assemble your  personal college interest information. Use your completed printed form to speedily register online.

You can click on the link to PrepHQ on the elms' library page to register online.

 

 

 

This page will be displayed:               

 

Step I: Registration:

  1. On the left, click  “Click Here to Register”
  2. You will be prompted for a registration code – first 5 letters of the student’s last name: last 5 numbers of the student id.  Example:  Meyer, 1234567  - code would be meyer:34567
  3. You will be asked for information to create an account with a username and password.  Write them down!
  4. Don’t forget to enter in any email addresses you wish communications from the Guidance office to go to.

 

Step II: Create College Interest List:

  1. Click on Colleges from the menu bar
  2. You can either search for a college or find a college.  To search – click Use Expanded College Search – you can put in your criteria and then select from the colleges that are displayed.  To find a college – type in part of the college name and click Find.
  3. From the college information page you can add the college to your interest list by clicking Add to My College List.
  4. Your college list will be displayed in My Organizer – you counselor will see your interest list and can send messages to you about your selected colleges.

 

Step III: Check Out The Website Features

With the new website, you’ll be able to do lots of things to prepare for college more effectively, including:

§         Access your records and application information in My Organizer.

§         Search for local scholarships, financing college information and summer programs available.

§         Access important dates and information (college visits, standardized tests, and more)

Check out the site today! Instructions and explanations will be on the site, and your counselor will make you aware of all that’s available.
