Our Lady of the Elms Elementary Library

Remodeled Elementary Library and Computer Lab 2008-2009

Everything in the library had to be moved into the hallway to replace the carpet. The old circulation desk will be scrapped.

Underneath the carpet and padding is a very old tile floor.

Attractive carpet squares will cover the entire library floor. The tiles will be eco-friendly and the new carpet will be fully recyclable.

Summer weeding of undesirable and out-of-date resources provides the library book collection with space to grow.
New furniture and carpeting has transformed the room.
A new child-friendly circulation desk lets library moms and students interact at eye level.

Volunteer moms are a big help to the students as well as the library program. Volunteer Mom Anita Sears runs the Birthday Book Club program for the elementary library.
Volunteer Mom Chris Fiocca and BookFair Chairperson Michelle Communale hang the curtains that Michelle made for the library windows.

Weekly library visits include instruction with online resources thanks to the Sympodium and the ceiling mounted computer projector.
