Birthday Book Club for February 2008

S chooses from the collection of birthday books geared to intermediate readers.
Mrs. Sears, B-Day Book Club Chairperson, encourages H to put her name on a nameplate that she will place in the front page of her new book.
Everyone from PreK through grade 6 seems happy with her choice which include Easy fiction, chapter books and biography. Mrs. Sears always provides delicious cookies.
S presses her personalized bookplate into her book before signing it out at the circulation desk.
Mrs. Sears scans the book's barcode and now S can read the book as long as she likes before returning it .
Cookies and conversation fill the moment until it's time to return to class with a brand new book to read for pleasure. And when the girls finish reading and return their birthday books, the Elms ES library will have more new books for other girls to check out and read .
