| Middle school can be challenging. Girls face a time of change and transition during seventh and eighth grade that can be both awkward and awesome. Discovering and developing their unique talents and personalities, exploring spirituality, strengths and identities, testing their boundaries and beliefs, these girls are beginning their transition into young adulthood. At the Elms, we understand that. | ![]() |
Our seventh and eighth graders are provided with a safe, supporting environment to transition from elementary school and prepare for high school. Our rigorous curriculum gives them the educational fortitude to succeed in high school and beyond. The opportunity to take a wider variety of classes, such as orchestra, choir, life skills and art, invites students to broaden their horizons and increases their desire to learn. Becoming involved in athletics, clubs and organizations helps girls learn how to manage their time effectively and take on responsibility and leadership roles.
At the Elms, your daughter will discover her talents, develop her creativity, and understand how to give to others. She will learn not only about algebra and biology, but about service and community. She will begin to realize how important her life is and will be to other people. Whether it's when she makes her first jump shot or participates in her first rally for social justice, here at the Elms your daughter will find her voice.
